About the Artist

I am Jared Thomas Jones,  a Welsh painter now living in Mijas Costa, Andalucia Southern Spain. I have experimented in many mediums but my favourite medium is oils and am self taught in drawing and painting. I have a bachelors degree in photography and a masters degree in computer animation also. The fundamentals of painting have always been the cornerstone on which all disciplines have been based and this has always been my first love.  Now living in Spain, I have found new and exciting directions to channel my efforts into exploring the culture and environment to find a new way in which to evolve my paintings. I like to push myself and try to grow as an artist and take on different directions and am always open to new influences and exciting ways to project ideas and feelings.
